We’re made for the adventurers. We’re made for people who want to wander the Earth in search of unique experiences and cultures vastly different to our own. Enticing stories begin here.
We offer well researched, tried and tested itineraries for those who like to travel without guides unless they really need one and away from overbearing tourist areas. Our itineraries come without the restrictive elements which often accompany group trips that are arranged by big companies. Some of our adventures offer the chance to meet local people from around the world, people who aren’t necessarily used to tourism.
I’m Louise Sopher, a travel journalist and British College of Journalists graduate. I’ve spent six weeks living with a tribe in the heart of the Borneo jungle. There, only a handful of people spoke fluent English. One person had a television and it had been years since another British person had arrived. I’ve also traveled solo and organised two successful five day kayaking expeditions in Sweden and Finland. I’ve worked at outdoor shops & I’m a Paramedic.

Do you want to travel on similar trips but you don’t know how to go about it? Maybe you don’t want to do all the organising. Maybe you’re short on time and you’d like someone to do all the research. The good news is you can download itineraries and kit recommendations here.

Many of us know the advantages of planning our own trip. It can be cheaper than going via a company that organises everything for you or gives you a guide when you may not need one. Often, it offers more independence as you won’t have to eat at specified meal-times, rest when it’s been planned, or stay only as long as the company has pre-determined.
Don’t read us wrong, we’re not advocating to always travel without a guide. Some places require it. Some sports need it. And, if you’re alone or you don’t have the recommended skills for your chosen adventure, going with a guide is just safer. Subsequently, some of our adventures offer you the choice and recommend companies or individuals you can use.
Using us, you will often be able to visit more unusual and less touristy places (you’ll come back with a story to tell). Most importantly, by choosing our itineraries, the hard work of the research is done for you.

If you want a group adventure, all you will need to do is:
- Get a group of friends together and choose your dates
- Download the relevant itinerary and book anything marked with a ‘B’. This may involve hostel/hotel bookings, or companies which rent equipment. It may also involve contacting a recommended person or company. Ask us for help.
- Split the cost of bookings with your friends.
- You’re ready to explore!

*No amount of itineraries or recommendations are a substitute for good planning, backup plans, and proper skills & training. We are not advocating to always travel without a guide. No plan is perfect, and no journey without risk. Check the weather, government travel advice for your chosen area and any other necessary information before you travel. Consider your own skills. Travel safe.
